Monitoring, Measuring, Sampling and Analysis

Assessing the effectiveness of environmental strategies that have been implemented, it is important to measure performance. As the proverbial phrase states, you can’t manage what you can’t measure. Without assessing performance, it becomes difficult to ascertain whether the company is in compliance with regulations and/or is achieving environmental goals or objectives. Measuring of performance can involve sampling, inspections, and auditing which conform to established standards.
